A few years ago I was contacted by the UCP of Central PA to do some design work. I got a chance to design an invite to an event that was Hollywood themed, but I also got to design two brochures/mailers for their annual Smiles and Styles event. At the moment, I'm trying to find the piece I designed for the first year I worked on the brochure. This one is for the second year's event. The reason I'm trying to find the first year's design is I also managed to photograph the mother and daughter that appeared on the piece, which actually turned out to be a really nice photo. Anyway, here's the 2006 piece! This design was also carried through into the ad that they ran in Harrisburg Magazine the same year to promote the event. I do like how the piece came out, although when I finally get a chance to post the first year's design, I'd love to point out that I loved the color scheme of that piece better than the blue shown here. The colors that year were the pale yellow that you see here, but the blue was orange instead, which I felt added some warmth, fun, and energy to the look and feel of the event itself.
